Fall Leaf Banner DIY

Fall Leaf Banner DIY

Fall Leaf Banner DIY

This Fall Leaf Banner is quick, easy , and inexpensive to make. Using natural materials and some crafty store materials, you can bring that Fall mood into your home. artistinresidencehome.com

I wanted to do something fun, quick and fairly cheap to brighten up my space and welcome in Fall.

I decided to make a banner since I had most of the materials already since I do a lot of crafting and fixing things. The only thing I didn’t already have was the string lights which were pretty inexpensive around $12.

I also like the banner because you can change them out at will without anything being permanent.

I literaly found these Magnolia leaves outside my place as we have lots of Magnolia trees in out neighborhood. You can use whatever is in your hood or go scavenger hunting and it’s free!

Here’s what you’ll need:

A small paint brush, twinkle lights, twine, white craft paint, natural leaves, clothes pins, picture hangers, scissors. Choose big enough leaves for your lettering. Note: I also added some craft leaves to fill in the spaces and cover the battery pack.

First, Paint your leaves with the white paint. You may need to thin it out with a little water. I did this free hand but you could use a stencil. Set aside to dry.

Unwind your twinkle lights. Measure and cut your twine leaving about 4-6 inches on either side where the lights end.

Measure how far you want your banner ends to be. You should have a slight swag. Affix whatever picture hanging you are using following those directions. ( I covered the battery pack with a leaf)

Now start putting up your beautiful painted leaves and whatever other elements you are bringing to the table! It doesn’t need much. Have fun!
