I think I have been waiting for Fall since June of this year. We all know 2020 is a very challenging year and we all need something to celebrate, even if they are the smallest things like Pumpkin Spice flavored anything. That signature flavor has come much earlier this year ( Coffee shops started selling fall beverages in August!) and I don’t mind one bit!
Also, because Fall is my favorite time of year. It signals the beginning of the holiday season, the first day of school (which meant new clothes!), new and my favorite returning tv shows, and my Mom and Auntie’s Sweet Potato Pie. So put your plaid shirts on and grab your Pumpkin Spice Beverage and let’s get in the mood and get ready for FAll!
GET IN THE MOOD BOARDS
Although I am no longer looking forward to the first day of school, I do look forward to adding a few pieces to my fall wardrobe. Here are some of my inspo’s for a few things I may pick up.
I am absolutely in LOVE with this Fall collection from Christian Dior. Yes, I know this is from 2019 but honestly, I f you did buy these last year you would still have them and would cherish them for a long time to come. The color palette is so gorgeous and the styling can easily be duplicated
We can’t forget the Shoes!
Oh my God, if I buy one more eyeshadow palette…..but you know I will. These are just couple of things on my list along with some hair products I can’t wait to get my hands on.
I’m re-doing my entire apartment this year and super excited about it! I love decorating for the holidays and want to do a more botanical take on decorations this year. Anything with branches, terrariums, dried foliage, and metal sculptures are really my thing now and give a real timeless look to your interiors and a love of nature. I’ve already bought a few candles from DW Home Candles, but there will be more!
Last but definitely not least is maybe the best part of Fall, the comfort foods we think about all year. Apple Pie, Sweet Potato Pie (for Southerners and African Americans a must try recipe!), Pumpkin Pie Spice anything, Maple flavors, Hearty Autumn Soups, and all things Thanksgiving.
I hope you all enjoy Fall as much as I do and that you may find a few things on this blog that will make your home and table as cozy as it can be.
Stay tuned for lots of stuff on organizing, entertaining, home decor, DIY, and inspiration!
