I have been waiting what seems like forever to say hello to Fall this year!
I don’t like to sweat unless i’m working out so needless to say super hot summers are not my thing unless there is plenty of popsicles and ice cream handy to cool me off.
I also may be partial to the season since my birthday is in October. Who doesn’t love all those warm fall colors.
I also love Fall for fashion! I can’t wait to mix and layer and get on those boots with cozy comfy sweaters and scarves. Although I have enough scarves to open up a shop it doesn’t keep me from adding one, maybe two to the bunch every year.
This year I have so many wonderful things planned this season to share with you from DIY decor, apple picking and pumpkin trips to of course delicious comfort foods to enjoy all season long from Chai Pancakes for breakfast, Soothing Squash Soup for lunch with some crusty bread , Chicken Pot Hand Pies, Healthy Maple Glazed Turkey Meatloaf, and baking baking and more baking!

You can’t even think about Fall without thinking about Thanksgiving and Halloween. Halloween kicks off the holiday season in full gear. If you are planning a party this year, be sure to check out some of my holiday tips and tricks ( and treats! )
I plan to bring some of that great southern table to you guys for Thanksgiving with classic dishes we look forward to eating all year.
Some of my favorites are Cornbread Dressing, Sweet Potato Pie and Candied Yams. I will bring you some classics and some of my versions too. Download this free Thanksgiving Menu here.
Don’t forget the table! A pretty table scape is just as important as your menu. Mine is inspired by warm plaids, toile, copper, creamy whites, pale pinks accented by burnt orange and a deep rust.
The flavor profiles that inspired me this year are:
Molasses
Bourbon
Cardamom
