Sedona

Sedona

A Personal Journey to Sedona, Arizona

Sedona is said to be a place of amazing energy and spiritual enlightenment. It is definitely a place of beauty and open spaces that are as wide as life’s possibilities.

This trip to Sedona came at the right time for me.

I always wanted to go on a spiritual seeking journey and I’m sure this is the first of many. I had a great time planning this trip. We went at the end of June so it was warm to say the least but I made sure my beauty game was tight. A little about that later.

The stories of the most powerful vortexes that are all around Sedona really intrigued me. I wanted to feel that energy so I planned 2 vortex visits to the strongest points: one to Bell Rock and the other to the Airport of all places.

What is a vortex you say?

They are said to be swirling areas of concentrated energy rising from the earth that are conductive to healing, self-exploration, and meditation.

We climbed Bell Rock, well kai climbed all the way up and I took his picture at the bottom. It was really beautiful. I was a little disappointed that I didn’t feel a lot of energy up there.

They say you can also see UFO sitings and you can even take tours! We missed out on that one.

Galleries and Shopping

We took in a few galleries on the art walk. Make sure you have on comfortable shoes ‘cuz there is lots of great art to see.

I can’t forget the wonderful crystal shops. Here are a few crystals and stones I purchased to further my enlightenment. I was so inspired by the selection of crystals and what I learned about sacred geometry that I made my own Abundance grid.

Along with many beautiful stones and crystals at some shops, you can get an aura reading, psychic readings, spiritual tours, sound healings, recollective healing, shamanic reiki, transformation sessions, soul unions, and so much more to enhance your spiritual awakening.

Of course there are the cutest boutiques and the best selection of turquoise and silver jewelry anywhere in the world and other semi precious stones. My favorite Squash Blossom necklace can be found there in some galleries. but there are  al lot of imitations out there.

Now lets talk about food!

We had some pretty good Mexican food and the food at our hotel was also good. I discovered that I really like prickly pear! Its in a lot of cocktails all over the city and prickly pear syrup and candy is sold in all the shops. The color is this gorgeous hot pinky purple.

We also checked out a couple of local health markets, Interdependence Natural Foods and Natural Grocers. They both had a great selection of organic foods, supplements and wellness items. Natural Grocers is part of a big chain of stores whereas Interdependence is one store with great service on a small scale.

As I said before it was HOT. But a girl needed to wear her makeup so I looked long and hard for a primer and setting spray that would get me through those hot days outside. I found one called Skindinavia. One of the best beauty products I have EVER bought hands down. My makeup lasted all day without touch ups in almost 100 degree heat. Make sure you apply the primer AND the setting spray to make sure it lasts.

I knew the backdrop of Sedona would be beautiful sunsets and warm dessert tones so I designed my wardrobe with tones of pink, dusty rose, mustard yellow, and tones of lavender and dusty purple. Every comfy piece went with the other so I didn’t need to pack a whole lot. I got a lot of compliments.

I am looking forward to my next trip there. Plan your trip now and SAVE up to 50% on major attractions to your destination.
