With every new season, I get inspired for new beginnings and new projects to tackle. I am never lost for things to try or re-invent for necessity or just for fun. With each area of life that includes food, fashion, design, and beauty, I push myself to create new recipes, express myself through fashion and beauty, and freshen up my home withe new and fresh ideas.

Big Ideas to adapt this Spring
We all have health goals we want to introduce into our lives. For reasons that we have to or just to improve upon our current health. There are several things that I personally have introduced in my life for a healthier and happier me like a Keto diet to help drop a few pounds and balance my insulin, Eating more vegetables to become more plant based to make less room for the bad things, substituting my usual grab go snacks to well thought out ones that use food for energy and still satisfy a sweet tooth. The fresher the better.

Spring Happenings
Spring gives a some pretty big Holidays to plan for too like Easter, Mother’s Day, and Cinco De Mayo. Did you know that April is National Grilled Cheese Month? Let’s celebrate by eating some! Try these now!
Brunch season is upon us and if you can’t get a reservation at your favorite restaurant this year for Easter or Mother’s Day, try these recipes to supplement your Holiday Menu and brighten your table like English Peas with Herbs , Radicchio and Asian Pear Salad, and Deviled Eggs are a must!,
Spring Ingredients to Inspire My Meals

This year, there are a few ingredients that will be inspiring my recipes and driving home my healthier plan of eating. I will be infusing more nuts and seeds in both sweet and savory dishes. Nuts will provide nut milks that will take the place of some dairy. Super food powders will be introduced into my protein shakes and baked goods. Bees give us all of this fresh produce and beautiful flowers and nutrients in the form of Bee Pollen and Manuka Honey. Lemons, Carrots, Fresh English Peas, Matcha Tea, Greens, Pistachios, Herbs and Sprouts round out the list.
THIS IS WHATS IN SEASON NOW

Your Spring Table

Spring Holidays give great reasons to set the table. Think about pastels, White, metallics and all things that shine like jewelry. All the shades of green will anchor any color palette to bring the outside in. Don’t forget the flowers. I’m loving ranunculus, lilacs, roses, and anything delicate like baby’s breath and Wax flowers. See more ideas and the full story here.
Florals are a great place to be inspired for eating too. Think of all the floral teas that can be served for your brunch’s and Mother’s Day. I am obsessed with this instagram feed of Atelier Soo’s feed @soocake_ully . The cakes she creates with such realistic buttercream flowers are so pretty you almost don’t want to eat them! Since they are based in Korea I don’t think I’ll have to worry about that, but if I’m ever feeling low, all I have to do is look at her cakes and they put a smile on my face.

This Seasons Baking and Inspirations

I love to bake as you know. So trying to have a more Plant Based Diet can be a struggle when you have a craving for something sweet. As I stated before, I am developing healthier recipes to include on my sweet list. Until then, I have some great ones you can try for Easter, Mother’s Day, and Cinco De Mayo like my daddy’s favorite Coconut Cake, an oh so good Lemon Curd Crumb Coffee Cake, and a beautiful and multi layered recipe Pina Colada Cake with flavors of Coconut Cream, Passionfruit, Pineapple Filing and Lemon Curd. Dressed with a gorgeous train of Pineapple Flowers to be the star of your dessert table.
Soiling Your Green Thumb

So green is a huge color for me this Spring taking a cue form nature. I love gardening and wish I had more soil to play with, but house plants are a great way to nurture your botanical soul and they provide a little more oxygen for the air. I’m digging Snake Plants, Dracaena, and Terrariums. I will be working on a patio and garden design this year and will be posting the progress for you guys. I have my eye on succulents, modern lines, and ornamental grasses.
